01 - In a skillet over medium heat, cook turkey bacon until crisp, approximately 5 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.
02 - Toast sandwich bread slices until golden brown.
03 - Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise on one side of each toasted bread slice.
04 - Place one slice of bread mayonnaise-side up on a clean surface. Layer with half the lettuce leaves, half the turkey slices, and half the tomato slices. Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
05 - Top with a second slice of bread, mayonnaise-side down. Spread mayonnaise on the top of this slice.
06 - Layer half the avocado slices and three slices of crispy turkey bacon over the second bread slice.
07 - Close the sandwich with the third slice of bread, mayonnaise-side down.
08 - Press each sandwich gently to compact and secure with toothpicks. Repeat assembly for the second sandwich.
09 - Cut each sandwich into halves or quarters and serve immediately.
